Getting

I hope we get what we need. I hope we get what we want, but I hope we never get what we deserve.

Stuff

I have stuff. I bet you have stuff too. Stuff I don't need but I drag it from place to place. Mostly old trophies and stuff. I just
want my grandkids to know that I was young once. That I had dreams and goals, that I wasn't always the old fat guy they called Papa Gator.

Homicide hunter

I'm watching an episode of homicide Hunter on TV. At this point they are surprised that a Woman is a killer. Let me tell you from experience that women can kill even if the victim doesn't die right away.

Wow!

So much has happened since my last post. Don't know where to begin. Im alive obviously. Not really sure I want to be but i guess it's the best gig going right now. Currently single,  got the "your a great guy" speech again. And i kicked 2 great ladies to the curb in the process. I so make the wrong choices when it comes to matters of the heart.

Times up

How do you know when your time is up? How do you know when you reach the tipping point and things just won't get better. Is it worth it to just keep going on? Each day a little more disappointing than the last. Each day a little worse. How long do you have a to be dead before your allowed the bliss of death

Before the asphalt

I think about this a lot when I'm riding, just rode over some of the original sante fe trail and the Chisholm trail last week...

I consider myself to be (mostly) an optimist. I have been thinking a lot about this lately. I think being an optimist is a lot like being a closer in baseball. I don’t know a lot about baseball, (I’m a cubs fan so that proves I don’t know baseball) but I have heard that the best weapon a closer can have is being able to forget what happened yesterday and believe that he can win every time he takes the mound. With that belief comes great risk and being an optimist takes great risk as well, but the alternative to me is untenable. You can’t win if you don’t risk losing.
This all came about because I was laughing to myself the other day thinking that “maybe I’m just too stupid to know when I’ve been beaten” then I realized that no, being able to forget my setbacks and press on is really the essence of optimism.
So I got that going for me…which is nice J

6 rules of life

“The six rules of life.
1. Don't like something just because you think other people will like it, because they won't.
2. What you think is important isnt. What you think is unimportant is.
3. Lean into it.
4. Don't shit where you eat.
5. Most doors are closed so if you want them to open you need a cool knock.
6. Don't sleep with people who have more problems than you do.”
